Peter Yost Presents: The building science principles forming the foundation for high performance are heat movement, moisture movement, and how the two always work together

Dynamic live webinar provides residential home construction professionals a chance to discuss challenges and hear solutions from nationally recognized Peter Yost, green building pioneer and industry expert on building enclosures and integrating material selections.

The interactive presentation takes place on January 20, 2021 at 4:30-6:30 pm and being organized by Southwestern and Lakes Region Home Builders Associations for all NH Home Builder members free of charge. Additionally, the event is open to the public for $10/pp. Discussions focus on how performance components of insulation, water management, air leakage, and HVAC relate to a whole as the building enclosure. Meeting the new code can be challenging. Come understand the opportunities available in meeting these challenges.

This program is designed for builders and contractors, code officials, HERS raters, architects, and channel partners. Walk away with easy-to-understand solutions you can use everyday that meet the new code, while providing the means to a comfortable, durable, energy efficient, valued building enclosure.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from real-world examples.

Peter Yost is the person you turn to if you want to truly understand how buildings work: their design, specification, construction, performance assessment. He brings more than 30 years experience in building, researching, teaching, writing, and consulting on high-performance buildings. His expertise ranges from construction waste management and advanced framing to energy efficiency, indoor air quality, moisture management, and building durability.

“Our builders and contractors know how to build, noted Matt Blanc, president of Southwestern Home Builders, Peter Yost helps instruct them to learn how to build better.”

Rob Pickett, from Rob Pickett & Associates, LLC, writes a blog for trade professionals about NH Codes and he commented, “The issue is that energy codes themselves do not explain how buildings work. They set minimum requirements of individual elements and don’t look at the overall building operating in a particular environment. It was one of the reasons the Home Builders and Remodelers of Southwest NH (HBRASWNH) developed a this educational program with Peter Yost of Building-Wright.  The first presentation was given in person, Fall 2019 to a very receptive audience. Thanks to COVID, the second session has converted to an online event. It will be a Zoom-conference on January 20th and is open to all NH homebuilders and to interested public.

Registration is required. For information to attend, please contact kristen@homebuildersassocswnh.com or call 603.357-0242.
